JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES – SUMMER/FALL 2020
CLASSES ARE REGISTERED WITH OREGON AND CALIFORNIA
***AT THE TRAINING CENTER***

JULY 28 & 29 5:00PM - 9:00PM 2020 CODE CHANGES (8 hours Code Change Credit)
AUGUST 19 5:00PM – 9:00PM 1st AID/CPR (4 hours Code Related Credit)
AUGUST 22 8:00AM - 12:00PM 1st AID/CPR (4 hours Code Related Credit)
SEPTEMBER 29 & 30 5:00PM – 9:00PM CODE CALCULATIONS (8 hours Code Related Credit)
In person class sizes are currently limited to 16 participants to comply with government COVID mandates. Tables and seating are arranged for over 6' distancing and masks will be required.
***ONLINE OVER ZOOM***
Must have a working webcam and microphone. Smartphones and laptops generally have both. The states interim approval for Continuing Education classes over videoconference requires that participants leave their webcam on so the Instructor can monitor continued attendance.

*License renewal extension*
Oregon has extended the renewal date for licenses that were due to renew between April 1, 2020 and Dec. 1, 2020, to Jan. 15, 2021.
Requirement for Continuing Education in Oregon:
- General Journeyman: 24 hours, of which at least 8 hours must be Code Change and 4 hours Oregon Rule & Law
- General Supervising: 24 hours, of which at least 12 hours must be Code Change and 4 hours Oregon Rule & Law
- Limited Residential: 16 hours, of which at least 8 hours must be Code Change and 4 hours Oregon Rule & Law

Testing for the California Electrical Certification Exam is now available in Medford. The new test site is at the RCC/SOU campus in downtown Medford. They currently have only one 2002 Code book available for testing, but will have more in the future.
