Five Counties 2020 Scholarship Program
Posted On: Jan 24, 2020

The Five Counties Central Labor Council announces the college scholarship program for 2020.  Three $1,500 scholarships are available this year.  The scholarship money comes from the proceeds of the 2019 Labor Day Picnic sponsored by this Council.  It is our pleasure to commit the proceeds to the training of the next geration of Californian workers.

Enclosed are the rules and applications for these scholarships.  The applicants must be graduating high school in the fall of 2019 or spring of 2020 and plan to enroll in an accredited college for at least 12 units the subsequent academic year.  The application requires they state their relationship to the union member and they also must provide proof of the union membership in a local affiliated with this Labor Council.

Please direct all questions to Dr. John Whitmer, Scholarship Chair, at (530) 515-5283 or Ruth Rhodes, Secretary/Treasurere at (530) 949-7795.
