Fall Protection Class

Dear Members,

We are excited to announce an upcoming Fall Protection class scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Crater Lake JATC. The session will commence promptly at 8:00 AM and will be instructed by Vaughn Pugh.

This course aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the OSHA and OROSHA Fall Protection regulations, particularly tailored for the construction industry. Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will be awarded a certificate with no expiration date. The topics covered in the class include:

• The Role of the Competent Person
• Trigger heights that prompt the use of fall protection
• Options available to protect workers from falls
• Differences between fall arrest and fall restraint
• Inspection Procedures of equipment
• The Fall Protection Work Plan
• The role of the safety monitor system
• Wall opening and handrails
• Ladder usage

This is an excellent opportunity for our team to enhance their knowledge and ensure compliance with safety regulations crucial in our line of work.
